U.S. Standards of Excellence in Short Term Missions
Our Core Values
Youth Focused
Our greatest desire is that Christian teenagers in the United States would have a strong desire to reach out among their peers and tell them about Jesus.

Evangelistic
We believe that eternal salvation comes about only through the saving power of Jesus Christ. In keeping with this, our ministry focus is to provide opportunities for youth to share the good news of Jesus Christ with people around the world. We want them to develop this as a life-long practice.

Bible-Based
Our ministry and mission efforts are centered on Christ and rooted in the Word of God - the Bible. It is the basis for all we do as a ministry, and is an important part of our mission training with teenagers.

Faith Forming
We believe that short-term mission trips shape the faith of teens, challenging them to go beyond their comfort zones. In these circumstances, we also know the same youth will see God work in marvelous ways.

Missionary Mind-set
We believe that short-term mission trips, coupled with good training, can be a catalyst for more mission-minded youth here in the United States.

Sharing the gospel
What We Believe
God
We believe in one God, who exists in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - the Trinity. God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler over the universe. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus
Jesus Christ is God's only Son, fully human and fully divine. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and came to earth so that He could die for the sins of the world. All, who by faith, place their trust in His death on the cross for the forgiveness of their sins will have eternal life. After His death, Jesus rose again on the third day and now sits in Heaven at the right hand of God, interceding on behalf of those who know Him as their personal savior. (Luke 1:26-38, Romans 8:34, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Philippians 2:5-8, Ephesians 2:8-10)

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and indwells all people who have placed their trust in Christ for their salvation. He is our Comforter, Counselor, and the seal of salvation for those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ. (John 14:15-17, Ephesians 1:13-14)

The Bible
The Bible is the perfect and complete written word of God. It was written and formed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the authority by which all Christian believers order and conduct their lives. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)

Humanity
Humanity is created in the image of God. Humanity was created to have a perfect relationship with God. However, due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin and death entered the world, and as a result, all humanity has inherited a sin nature and the perfect relationship between humanity and God was and continues to be broken. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23 and 5:12)
