Overview:
Guatemala is a country full of opportunity to share the Gospel. While this nation boasts tremendous geography, beautiful landscapes, and the famous Quetzal bird (featured on the national flag) it is also very much in need. Especially within Guatemala City, many live in tough conditions and are looking for something more. Although this nation has large churches (some exceeding 10,000 members) and many have seen Christian missionary groups come from North America, there are plenty who still have not had the opportunity to place their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Going to Guatemala will be an experience you won't soon forget, as you will find multiple opportunities to reach out to whole communities in schools and public squares with the Good News.
Ministry Description:
While in country, you will work in partnership with missionaries from Guatemala. In many cases these missionaries will be part of the Awana organization. During your two-week stay, you will be given opportunities to present the Gospel to children in communities through ballooning, puppets, pantomimes, music with motions and Bible stories. In addition you will have an opportunity to share how Jesus changed your life by giving your testimony.
