Music Mission Program Training
When you sign up for a Music Mission Trip, you will be sent a packet to help you prepare for the trip and begin fundraising. Included in the packet will be more detailed information on where and when you will be going, as well as information on how to begin fundraising. Your training will be planned during a time that works for all team members. There will be assignments that need to be completed and turned into YMI by the deadline dates. It is up to each participant to make sure they meet their fundraising and assignment deadlines.
The Music Mission Program training is very similar to the YMI College-Age Training. During the training, a Music Mission Team will:
- Spend a significant amount of time in Bible study
- Wrestle with the application of biblical principles in a cross-cultural environment
- Learn specifics about the culture they will be traveling to
- Participate in team-building activities
- Learn methods for different types of music ministry
- Rehearse music in group and individual settings
